Avyse Partners appoint Sonia Poonian as Senior Consultant
We’re delighted to announce that Sonia Poonian joins Avyse Partners as a Senior Consultant where she will help grow the capability of our governance and conduct practice. Sonia has over 17 years’ experience in the financial services across Retail Banking, Consumer Credit, Motor, Building Societies and Energy. Sonia specialises in compliance and conduct risk issues, ranging from SMCR, the design and development of conduct risk strategies and frameworks, design and distribution reviews, mortgage affordability, financial promotions, internal audit work including skilled person reviews and leading many large scale complex regulatory change projects.
Sonia has spent most of her career on advisory projects in the conduct risk space at Deloitte in the UK and more recently at Deloitte Australia as a lead Director within their managed services team. She led the operational oversight, governance and transformation of large scale remediation projects for wealth management firms and led the development of a legal operate offering. Sonia is a pragmatic, tenacious, and customer centric individual. She has also delivered a number of far reaching regulatory projects within industry such as GDPR implementation and previously led the first line financial promotions team at Centrica.
