Regulatory gap analysis: FCA vulnerability review
Following our latest blog on the FCA’s findings from its review of firms’ treatment of vulnerable customers, we have developed a comprehensive gap analysis to help firms assess and align their frameworks with the FCA’s Vulnerability Finalised Guidance (FG21/1) and relevant sections of the Consumer Duty.
Our gap analysis is available below. We have converted the examples of good practices and areas for improvement into a robust set of questions designed to help you evaluate your vulnerability framework. We encourage you to go through the self-assessment questions and rigorously challenge the adequacy of your framework against the Regulator’s expectations.
From the review, it is clear that while progress has been made, there are still areas where further enhancement is needed. Firms should use this analysis to ensure their frameworks meet expectations. If you need support, we are offering a limited number of complimentary 30-minute calls to discuss your framework and provide actionable insights on how to enhance your alignment with FCA expectations.
